We are delighted to inform you about two major pieces of news related to our crew member Tomislav Hernaus.

First, the Croatian Science Foundation has granted funding of research project proposal Multilevel organization design configurations: Understanding the heterogeneity– homogeneity duality (MULTIDUALORG). The project looks into (1) when, how and why organizational dualities bundle together; (2) whether systems of dualities are nested and/or dynamic in nature; (3) which are core and contributing conditions of organizational design configurations that shape performance outcomes; (4) how bipolar opposites should be managed, and (5) what is the ultimate role of dual organizational design attributes in meeting strategic demands. Specifically, the main purpose of our research is to determine and explain how and why performance differences emerge from the intertwined design dualities present at different levels of analysis. We intend to search for multilevel organization designing patterns emerging from different sources of organizational heterogeneity.

Second, Tomislav has been named into the Economic Council advising the President of the Republic of Croatia on economic policies, long-term trends and structure of the Croatian economy.
