Dr. Luka Tomat works as an assistant in the Department of Business Informatics and Logistics at the School of Economics and Business at the University of Ljubljana. In his doctoral thesis Luka Tomat dealt with the field of operational research, focusing on the field of optimization, explicitly on a one-dimensional cutting stock problem. After successfully defending his dissertation in 2014, he has lectured on the contents of IT Management, Change Management, Business Process Reengineering and Digital transformation. In his recent research, he has focused on various areas of information management, e.g. optimization, electronic commerce and business, business process management, big data analytics, IT in tourism and IT in healthcare. More recently, he has been actively researching the phenomena of digital transformation. Luka Tomat has participated in consulting projects in various fields, including data models and analytics, reengineering and optimization of business processes.
